Southern Area Navy Board Cadet

Hastings Unit, Sussex District has had the distinct privilege to have Petty Officer Cadet Paul Huggett appointed Southern Area Navy Board Cadet 2010. This prestigious award is given to the best cadet in each Area and in Southern this has been commended to Paul.
Paul Joined Hastings Sea Cadets in 2003 as a junior Sea Cadet and rose through the Rates to Petty Officer Cadet attaining his Marine Engineering Electrical & Mechanical First Class, although this did not stop him attaining his Junior Instructors at SCTC Gannet. Aside from this he has gained qualifications in a diverse field including First Aid First Class and BCU 2 star Kayaking complimented with Cadet Pulling Instructor.
Whilst attaining all this Paul has earned his Silver Sea Cadet Aviator wings on the First Sea Cadet Aviation course held at SCTC INSKIP where he learnt valuable skills in Naval Flying and Aviation, this also cemented his career path to become a Royal Navy Pilot.
Paul has also been an excellent role model to younger cadets and stepping up to teach and assist the cadets when required, he has been a consistent example of what a Senior Cadet within a unit should be.
Bravo Zulu to Paul on his new appointment.
