Area Swimming Gala 2009

I thought the swimming gala yesterday was a great success and seemed to be enjoyed by everyone who attended. Please pass on my congratulations to all of your Units who competed, whether or not they actually won medals or shields for their District. It was good to see such a wide cross section of Area staff and cadets at what is the last competition of the year where we have such numbers.

I wish to thank all the DOs for getting their teams organised and to the venue, but I must particularly thank DO Surrey for overseeing the day and also to HQSO(PT), ASO(PT) and all of the PT staff for the smooth and efficient way in which the competition way run. Also, CO Littlehampton deserves a TY for his role as race judge, which entailed continuously walking up and down the side of the pool!!

And remember……… get in training for the DO’s handicap race next year and tell your COs to do the same!!!!
